Chopper Spirals Wildly into Palm Fronds at Frequented California Shoreline

An aircraft flying over a well-attended southern California shoreline suddenly began spiraling uncontrollably, ultimately losing altitude and plunging into a row of palm trees as beachgoers observed.

Footage shared on the internet depict the aircraft commencing to spiral above the shoreline then plunging in the direction of the perimeter of the beach, where it gets stuck amidst palm groves and a staircase adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.

Emergency Response Information

The Huntington Beach fire department stated five people were transported to a medical facility comprising two who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the accident on that day.

Three individuals on the road were hurt. Specifics on their wounds were not yet released.

The reason for the accident was not immediately released.
